Joanna Mawhinney, Senior Program Specialist, conducts research and authors evaluation reports to assess the implementation and impact of programs within districts and states. In addition, she supports both the communication team with outreach and the program team with technical assistance initiatives. Prior to joining CTAC, Joanna led efforts at Jobs for the Future to connect K-12 systems with higher education and the workforce by supporting the development and scale of policies and practices that drive career pathways. She also provided technical assistance to partners seeking to implement or expand dual enrollment options for students through initiatives such as early college. Joanna worked with AmeriCorps organizations including Reading Partners and City Year and researched innovation in education while at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her areas of expertise include college and career readiness, educational equity, and community and stakeholder engagement.
