Kati Garness, Senior Associate, National School Reform, provides assistance on district and school improvement initiatives throughout the nation and conducts research and evaluation services to gauge the fidelity of implementation and impact of federally-funded programs within districts and states. She also supports CTAC’s communications and development initiatives. She has experience teaching and coaching in district, charter, and international schools. Previously, Kati was selected as an inaugural Harvard Graduate School of Education Dean’s Fellow where she supported the expansion and development of key initiatives within the Gwinnett County Public Schools (GA) Office of Early Learning. She has served as an educator coach in Peace Corps Colombia and began her career as a Teach for America corps member in the Washington, D.C. area. Kati has expertise in and has coached on topics such as early childhood education, bilingual education, school culture and climate, project-based learning and charter development.
